Captain’s Cottage is located at Alexander Terrace, Stanley Tasmania. It is reputably the earliest built private residence in Stanley in 1832. Captain"s Cottage is beautifully presented with period furniture and is classified by the National Trust. The Cottage is a home away from home allowing you to relax and unwind while taking in the spectacular views of this gorgeous seaside village of Stanley. Stanley is the largest settlement west of Wynyard on the northern coast. It’s iconic ‘Nut’, a volcanic plug rising 150 meters, like an enormous Christmas cake by explorers Bass and Flinders. Its main industries are fishing and tourism. Stanley is a good base to stay and explore the wilderness areas and take a wildlife tour.
